Hi I'm Ben. I am 10 years old but am soon 11. I am English. I am a leg-spin bowler and I am a decent batter. I am strong off my legs and am a very good blocker! I play for a club side and am in my district U11 team. In my games for my club it is pairs cricket which is 16 overs although I sometimes play for the under 13's 20-20 real cricket and for the district it is 35 over and again, real cricket.

In our U11 league we came first but then got knocked out in the county quarter final. I was our highest wicket taker by a mile and part of that is thanks to the six wickets I got in 3 overs against probably the best side in our league. Here are my stats.
Batting: matches 8, runs 60, out 1, strike rate 55, average 60,
faced 15 wides and no balls. Bowling: balls bowled 114, conceded 80 runs, 0 wides and 0 no balls, 12 wickets. Fielding: 0 catches 2 run outs. Our U10 season is still running and I am looking for at least 8 wickets in them matches.

today I had a match for the U10. We won easily scoring 278 and they got 215. My performance was: bowling; 2,0,10,0. In my first over I only conceded two runs and they played and missed a couple of times and I had a catch dropped by the wickie. In the second over I bowled a bit too full and I got hit for 8 runs although the four they hit was a bit of a slog and that's what I want them to do. Batting; I got 10 runs and didn't get out but I have batted much better before and should have done much better then but when they bowl it wide of off stump and bounces twice it is quite hard to hit! With my fielding I got 1 run out and also took one at the stumps to knock the bails off. My rating by my Dad was a seven and I'd probably give my self the same as well. Also today I did lots of fielding practice with my catchet rebound net and a bit of batting as well. I have a U13 match tomorrow so I will inform you on what happens with that.

we lost our match yesterday but it was 4 u11 and 7 u10 v 11 u13's because all our u13's were at England v Bangladesh. We bowled first and did quite well keeping them down to 137 with me bowling very well and I picked up 2 wickets. I can't remember exactly how many runs I went for but my figures were around about; 3,0,10,2. I, for some reason opened and didn't have a great time. First ball I missed out on one that I should have hit for four but then I got bowled my a decent ball but I had a massive gap between bat and pad. I am going to use the trigger movement to get my leg across and keep my bat and pad together because I have been bowled like that before.
