JOBS: Community Cricket Development Officer - Hertfordshire Cricket Board

Hertfordshire Cricket Board Ltd (HCB Ltd) requires a motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Community Cricket Development Officer within our Cricket Development Team.
The Community Cricket Development Officers build relationships locally to develop and deliver a high quality cricket programme to schools and support the development of clubs in their areas. In addition, working with the Cricket Operations & Participation Manager, deliver activities that grow participation in all cricket, including women, girls and those with disabilities.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Set up a schools coaching programme through Chance to Shine, for schools in a designated geographical area across both Primary and Secondary Sectors, based around secondary school clusters
- Deliver a schools coaching programme that will include coaching, teacher training, Intra-School competition and delivering the ‘MCC Spirit of Cricket’ message
- Develop partnerships with School Sports Partnerships and School Games Organisers
- Ensure the successful running of Inter-School competition, including Kwik Cricket and Lady Taverners
- competitions
- Promote local cricket clubs to schools, encouraging pupils to migrate to a club environment
- Set up and deliver School Holiday activities
- Deliver cricket activity within Further Education and Higher Education establishments
- Support the delivery of activity that increases participation in women and girls cricket
- Support the delivery of activity that increases participation in cricket for people with disabilities
- Support the delivery of Hertfordshire Cricket’s club support and development programme (including Clubmark)
The successful applicant is required to have significant experience in cricket coaching and specifically in coaching in schools. A sports/cricket development background and a proven track record of successful project delivery are also essential qualities. We are looking to appoint a pro-active individual who will provide, with passion and enthusiasm, the delivery of a high quality cricketing experience to the cricket community in their area.

- Salary: £15,000 per annum
